Oh, wow. SO MANY POSTS TO CATCH UP ON! I'm trying! Forgive me if I'm not commenting.
It's been super crazy. I've been at LEAST hitting the like button, though!
I did this last night. Sorta random, I guess. But I like it. Took 11 hours to render. Not that it was inconvenient - like i said. SUPER busy. This is the first time I've sat at the computer all day.
I like. It's a Genesis 2 girl from FWSA. Coihime? Something like that. Sorry. I'm also a bit loopy. I've been on my feet 12 hours! In January I'll be moving in a house guest, and today I was working on their room.
To explain, I've had a rough couple years and have not been maintaining my personal space very well. I'm kind ashamed to admit it. But. Been making that effort now. Which means cleaning. And what's best is my motivation, and my very best friend in the whole world will be moving in. Also the love of my life, but... we're just friends. Anyways, I've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor. I got a bed finally, and I'm going to be able to enjoy it for two months if I get it in now, lol.
After that, it's an air mattress in my computer room, lol. I don't sleep much so it's no biggie. Worth it to have her here, I tell ya! Also, I REALLY should have done this a long time ago.
Aslan for iray. (promo scene 5 load) Environment set to "scene only."
Single spotlight coming from in front of her, aimed just over her left shoulder. color temp is 5k.
Scabbard adapted from a newer "Ancient weapons" pack on Daz. I had to mess with it's scale sliders to make it the appropriate size.
Bodysuit shell from a genesis 2 Elf Armor set, as well as the boots. I'm blanking on the rest of the garment. I'll try to remember to update next time I load Daz.
Hair is Edwardian hair. I just used some shaders on it to bring it up to speed. Everything 3DL has been converted to iray, using both SY's tool, and applying uber shader. Sword came from the "Witch hunter" set of weapons.
SO TIRED. Sorry. I'll be getting back to my usual daily commenting hopefully Monday, and should start posting more often again.

Hmm. I thought it looked alright. I didn't really do any post work, either. Maybe I'll play with it a bit. It was pretty much done just for fun. Thanks for the feedback.

It is a little dark, but I like that. The brighter areas (skin, sword etc.) create nice focal points, so it works for me. Plus I'm looking at it on a nice big 4K screen, so I'm seeing all the subtle tonal changes!

Thanks! Sometimes I do get them dark. I'm actually pretty light-sensitive, so things tend to look brighter to me. I'm glad you like it. The first version I did, the hair looked SOOOO bad, so I'm mostly just happy that the hair looks so nice now.

It's been pretty cathartic, I tell ya. Sort like peeling layers of garbage from my soul or something like that. Less time for renders, but I'm doing my "doodles" to keep an even keel. I got some really special renders planned - once I got time to do them.

Thanks. I do try. It's not easy sometimes, because people will always tell me to "fix things in post." and my mind doesn't work that way. I'm actually color-blind, believe it or not. I tend to like more contrast in things.
