I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

I wonder why it didn't want to render. It looks like the pixilation is all in the background, though, which actually works for this picture.
LyleAryn
Yeah. It was bizarre, but I think it's ok overall. At least her hair looks flawless. That's usually where' I'll see pixelation.
UteBigSmile
She looks great, take it easy dear Lyle! 😊
LyleAryn
She does, and someday soon I will do a render worthy of her.
OkrimSlava
Awesome skin and pose.

Wonderful :)

Wow !! Fantastic scene a very nice job well done
LyleAryn
Thanks for your kind words.
Nightwind
She's a great character and rendered very well as did the hair. Not sure what's hanging up your render. I'm sure you have checked, but could you have 3Delight maybe mixed with Iray things? That gives me fits.
LyleAryn
All iray. A 3DL texture wouldn't sparkle in iray mode. (learned that the hard way.) Thanks for having a look!
chasfh
Character looks great for sure, and I think Nightwind may be onto something. Had similar issues myself once or twice...
LyleAryn
I think maybe something about the shape of the lounge, and the way the light is hitting it, may be causing the issue. Because the shader set I used on it is iray-only. Thanks for the feedback.
hashdoc
Still a very good one!
LyleAryn
Thanks. That nice of you to say! I'm looking forward to doing one that really does her justice.

She is a very lovely lady/alien entity. I hope you will keep her in the gallery for a few more render sessions.
LyleAryn
For sure. I got an idea I want to work on soon that I hope people will like. Aeris19 did a great job on this one.
ikke.evc
Looks nice.
LyleAryn
You're too kind! Thank you.

Yeah, software does some weird things sometimes... I spent most of today doing damage control from the latest Windoze updates... And dealing with fighting the issues Rendo is having ATM...
Anyway, she does look pretty sweet - even if she is green! LOL I'm green with envy! Sweet work, my friend!
LyleAryn
Yeah. Every time I close Renderosity, it logs me out. Making it difficult to get through all the posts today.
Thanks for looking. I'm about to do something new. I think.

Radar_rad-dude
Interesting character! I think she would fit right in on Star Trek TOS. Marvelous work.
LyleAryn
Kirk would eat his heart out, lol.

All is not lost! At least we know now the Jolly Green Giant, has a Wife! Sorry, it didn't turn out as expected!
LyleAryn
Lol, and why he's so jolly!
Faemike55
A question for you. Did you use square lights? If so, then I know what those two blocks are from. They are from the box lights.
great scene and she is very cute.
LyleAryn
Oddly enough, I used the "disc" option on a spotlight. It's an oddity that will remain for now, I guess. If I get it again, I will be sure to investigate it further.
