Description
There's always time between arcane studies for a game of mageball!
Repost due to some technical problems on the website (plus ca change!). No Idea why images wont load properly, no response from the devs to my queries. If this doesn't get sorted soon, it will be sayonara from me I'm afraid. I don't have the inclination to carry on casting pearls before swine...
This image is really a test of how V4/elite mats (and iray uber shader) holds up against g8 with dedicated iray mats. There's quite a difference to how the skin reflects light as you can see, with v4 seeming to shrug off shadows! Its probably tweakable, though it may take a bit of digging to understand what's going on. Alternatively I could use a converter...

Excellent, indeed there are converters for Iray, I've never had the experience of placing a V4 and a G8 in the same scene, it's an excellent experience, thank you for sharing.
It's true, there are huge problems on Renderosity for some time. I've learned that the Hivewire3D store closes on January 4th and most of the vendors are going to migrate to Renderosity so it's been a lot of work, when the Daz store bought RDNA, it took a month before everything was up and running.
Then, it must be said that this year 2020 is special and we can think that there are also people who have caught the Covid, be patient, things will return to normal.

Thanks Mo, I appreciate the comments.
As you say, allowances must be made for the situation, but not to acknowledge a single support request over the past month, or even provide a twitter status update on the work to fix the site (assuming there is some) seems pretty poor. One inevitably questions how much priority they give the artist community here, so long as people continue to spend...

Fantastic work!
I wasn't able to post last night either. Fortunately the problem seemed to have been fixed by the time I got up this morning.

There seem to be several issues with the site, concerning the uploading, the stats, comments/emojis/links. And allthough Covid surely puts strains and limitations on work speed, it still is an illness that effects the respiratory system, it does not affect the brain. And even if administering changes is a complex task, this should be tested in a safe environment first. And even if there are glitches that only appear in the running system, it should not be too difficult to inform those who are - directly as a Prime Member - or indirectly - as customers - about these things, especially when the site offers mutliple banners, popups and other ways of communication. This is an art site, but annoying customers is not an art form.
