Description
Dihya, also known as al-Kāhina (the priestess soothsayer) was a 7th century Berber warrior queen and spiritual leader of the resistance to the Umayyad invasion of Numidia. She was rumoured to be a sorceresses by Arab historians of the time, to have an affinity with the birds of the desert, and to be exceptionally long-lived. .

Thanks Ute, things proceed as ever, though all the problems with the site are discouraging me from using it as much so I'm a more occasional visitor these days. Aside from that, the triple whammy of a new stricter lockdown, new strain of the virus and imminent no-deal brexit means its all a bit grim in England at the moment, largely thanks to BoJo's astonishing ineptitude at pretty much anything....
