I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Amazing !!!

Thank you. This time I tried to create someone who looks trustworthy. I want the sort of recurring mystery character that the players can actually rely on.

Excellent work my friend 👍🙋♂️

Thank you, other than my floating gramaphone. I could re-render without the figure I suppose, and then blend 'em together. I think I will do that.
brain1969
great render lylearyn
LyleAryn
Thanks, Brain!

You can 'paint' it in gimp. Nicely done.
LyleAryn
Yeah. I ended up re-rendering minus the person, and then erasing the window.

Sorry to hear about your bad news. This is a great looking character, though.

Thank you! I got the smoke from Medieval Fantasy Bedroom. It came with the candles. A little unparenting, a little re-parenting, and wa-la! Smoke from a pipe!
OkrimSlava
very well.

Thank you!

Splendid character and outfit
LyleAryn
Thanks, Sunbeam!
Darkglass
Very nicely conceived character and outfit...first class all round work...!

Thank you. Got to show that I can do male characters, too. Or else the players will get suspicious!

A very intriguing character. On another not. I am sorry about your disappointment and hope you keep your spirits up. I am definitely looking forward to your up coming projects here at 'osity.

Thanks! I just got a g2 character converted to g8, and am rendering her new portrait. That was an interesting process. Sadly, you can't convert the mat, or rather there doesn't seem to be a way to add G2 UVs to G8 characters. So I ended up having to redo her skin, though I have to say the end result is quite nice.
I look forward to my friend coming to stay, but it's a move across country, so I'm trying to keep on the positive in knowing that she hasn't canceled completely. Just delaying it for now. Though I was really looking forward to taking the trip out to get her.

Interesting character! I really like his outfit and his friendliness seems to stand him in good steed.

Thank you. I've already got my players mistrusting just about everybody, and so far they've never been betrayed. I also nearly defeated one with an empty house, but yeah. Good times!

the trunk is huge, it must have a lot of things to sell, beautiful rendering

Yes, indeed good sir. Just step right up and tell me your heart's desire, and we'll see what we can do about it.

Yes. Every time I see the title of the image, I hear that song. And here you are quoting it. Lol. Thank you.

Excellent render; great work on the textures.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Faemike55
Fabulous work. I somehow want to check my wrist after shaking hands with him.

"That's funny. I didn't have this watch a little bit ago." You remark, looking down at the fancy timepiece.
Seriously though, this will be one of the very few non-shady characters they meet.

Bland? No...
This is a perfect character study, well thought out and conceived.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm glad you like him!

A very interesting outfit and unusual choice of pipe color. He keeps being a bit surprising.
LyleAryn
Thanks! I thought it was interesting as well.
