I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Fantastic work. For her sake, I hope that enormous gun doesn't kick too badly!
LyleAryn
She's learned how to handle the recoil. Plus the weight helps. Thanks!
Nightwind
Nice character, really big gun! Maybe the steam will help with the recoil. Great work!
LyleAryn
Thanks! I figure both the steam and the weight of it.
ikke.evc
Very nice! But it must be annoying to have to carry that gun all the time in your hand.
LyleAryn
Yeah, If I had one complaint about this gun, is the lack of a holster for it. She usually keeps it stowed on her buggy, and carries a holdout.
OkrimSlava
What a BIG gun, awesome scene.
LyleAryn
Yes. And she isn't compensating for anything other than recoil.
crender
Fantastic !!!!

Typical great work - yes converting had to have been a lot more work than usng a pose adaptor from G3 to G8....was worth it, though :)
LyleAryn
I keep buying the scripts, but none of them work without a fair bit of work afterwards. But, it's a start, and I agree. The end result is pretty awesome.
dakotajaroo
pretty woman who likes to handle big guns , well done
LyleAryn
Yep! Needs a big gun when the steer in those parts is 25 feet tall and has six legs!

Well, your efforts certainly paid off, good sir. She looks fantastic! And daaaaaamn! That's quite an artillery piece she's toting! Sweet work!
I might try some of those tricks someday - if I can ever get DAZ working again...
LyleAryn
Thank you! And I wish you luck in solving the Daz issues. I know a while back I had a problem whose only solution was to reinstall windows entirely. Not fun.

v.cool character ...The mind rather boggles at the concept of a steam handgun!

This is a technical and artistic success for sure. Where in the world did you find a tutorial on taking G2 to G?. Had i of been around DAZ that long, I am sure that I would have G2 char's just aching to get air-time in a G8 world. Well done.
LyleAryn
Well, first I used the converter from RSSY. Then I figured out how to fix everything the converter did not convert. Lol. No tutorial, per se. But there was an odd issue with the eyes that just needed me to activate the smoothing modifier to fix.
