Description
This is basically a reconstruction of a historic building which did exist not far from the Birmingham City centre. Today it's foundations can be viewed on Google, but not everyone can re-visualise what those foundations once supported, hence my model.
It's not a totally accurate reconstruction, as I used two reconstructed images, themselves the interpretations of others. But at least you get some idea of the scale of the site, which academically isn't regarded as a 'castle'. In the guide books and references elsewhere, it is a 'Fortified Hunting Lodge', built by the Lord of Dudley in 1271, to give him access to a thousand acres of deer park.
Basically, the model is a theatrical set, which once completed, I populate with people, animals and objects, in and attempt to bring it alive. I created those using Poser, the costumes and ornaments I create using C4d, along with the model.
