Description
Fractal Design Painter 2.0, 1997. This image speaks to me in a strange way. The alien head on the right is a metaphor for how we as humans assign living properties to things we don't understand. I hate to use the word "anthropomorphism" because that really only applies to how we see animals sometimes...
All in all, I am pleased with the way this came out. I think now we have rumors of things like "aliens" and such because there are forces in nature that are foreign to us, or we don't have the senses to "see" them, so we give them a mystical higher power to make up for our lack of comprehension. This "caveman" (you can tell by the cave paintings in the background) is seeing fire for the first time as it leaps and plays for him, and he assigns a sentient being to it to explain the smoke and warmth.
