Description
I've lost my library. I was told by someone in the Renderosity Forum that I would have to uninstall Adobe Flash. Any one know how to fix this mess? I can't post without my library. It may not apply to users of Poser 9 or below.
"Since Adobe no longer supports Flash Player after December 31, 2020 and blocked Flash content from running in Flash Player beginning January 12, 2021, Adobe strongly recommends all users immediately uninstall Flash Player to help protect their systems. "
So confused!

So far, Poser 7 is OK. But I would hate to go backwards. Much harder to find things in the library. What happens if I uninstall Adobe Flash?

I have Poser 11 Pro and Poser 9 on my iMac: for the latter, the internal Poser library no longer appeared and now I have the external LSMGUIAIR library, but I believe it is related to Flash Player.

anything below p11.2 no longer works with flash. but some poser will still work. but I tried the link a friend sent me and it don't work for 9. funny thing is on my old computer it still comes up, and is not online. one reason it might still be working. it has rendering problems and don't always render my work. I got poser 11.2 coming in mail. ask Rod S for help. I got his email for mine. but if u have 9 it might not work.

I'm still trying to figure it out as I am down too. So far I found out that only Poser 8,9,and 10 used Adobe flash player to load library content into the work area. All other versions are OK. There's a thread in the Poser area forum started on this but it hasn't help me any as I don't have the Pro version and I am still on Win 7 operating system. Good luck!

Poser new library format from Poser 8 on was based on Flash. Not a great idea given issues with Flash. Finally fixed with Poser 11.2. So I guess one could set up scenes in Poser 7 ot before and then import them into a Poser without a library and render there. But Poser 11.2 + is so superior in performance and stability I find it is like night and day. The library looks the same but the U/I is so much smoother. Everything else feels smoother and faster.

I wish I could help, but I don't have any version of Poser installed on any of my computers.

You can get the XL library manager here in the marketplace. It runs on python. In the forum there is an .ini file you can edit that has fixed the issue for some. Good luck! I had the same issue.

I had the same issue when I re-loaded Poser Pro 2014 onto my computer. I went into general preferences and selected having the library in external mode and the problem went away. I prefer having the library external so my work flow isn't disrupted by this issue but, if you prefer having the library in Poser this could be irritating. Hope this helps.

Hey, Sue,
On my latest post, "Olivia's Dance" you will find a link to a PDF tutorial I did that will help you get back in business. At least it worked for my PP2014. Beginning with Version 11, Poser no longer uses Flash to access the libraries. Adobe pulled the plug on Flash, and hit the 'kill switch' on the 12th, so Flash is history.
