Description
Divers from the submarine cruiser Thomas Winans begin an excursion to explore a wreck.
The submarine, which I've named for Thomas Winans, one of the Winans family who had much to do with the development of the cigar ships in the mid 19th century, is Ig Yerm's imaginatively realized Future Winans Steam Ship, available at ArtStation and other sites. The divers are M4 in Cybertenko's Deep Sea Diver suit. The wreck is IN Wavecutter. The sea life consists of sharks from Shark Attack, Sea Turtle and Tuna from DAZ, and several old freebie fish. The environment is Nemo's Hunting Ground.
The scene was composed and rendered in Poser using Atmosphere for the depth effect.

This really is remarkably beautiful. Love the use of fading colors, and bold ones, to imply distance from the camera. Basic, I know, but here it really works well! It gives the scene a haunted, dreamlike quality. I'm a bit unsure about the Shark on the lower left. In a bold black, it looks closer due to the color, but it is a small part of the whole scene. It is a bit hard to tell how really big it is. Compared to the tiny figures of the descending divers, it looks Huge. And it really grabs the eye when looking at the scene, taking a bit away from everything else. I wonder if it might be better on the right of the scene, where there is already darker colors. That would make the size comparison to that beautiful ship and the divers a bit easier. Eh, I am probably just nit-picking. This is beautiful work, and thank you for posting it!

Thanks for your insightful comments. It's been a good while since I composed this scene so I don't recall details but both the shark and the fish center right are much closer to the camera even than the bow of the submarine. This isn't to negate the helpfulness of your critique. How you perceive the image takes precedence over my intent. Only when the two match is an image perfect. Thanks again.
