I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Yes! The jacket may be older, but it still renders up so fine!

Great character and outfit!
LyleAryn
Thank you. It's amazing how well some of the older auto-follow outfits work.

A wonderfully intense character. You did a fine job showcasing your creative character. Sometime, maybe in a site mail, I would love to find out more about how RPG works in a group
LyleAryn
Anytime, my friend. And thank you for your comment!
starship64
Fantastic work. Your game sounds like a lot of fun!
LyleAryn
Oh man, it's a hoot! I'm blessed to have a perfect group.

Looks great, thanks for reminding me that i still have a Stonemason set i have to install. But it's not the same, i looked at it but i don't do steampunk.
LyleAryn
Looking over the set, I think it will prove versatile for other things. That's honestly how I have to look at any more-expensive set. Majority of my stuff tends towards fantasy, though I have a fair amount of western. This is the first actual steampunk set I've purchased. I sure like it, though.
Thanks for having a look!

beautiful character
LyleAryn
Thanks. I don't do males often, but when I do they gotta look good!

Excellent character realisation, the slightly raffish look works well though he's clearly worried about something....
LyleAryn
Sir Duncan has a lot on his mind, for sure. The G-men don't know he's leading the local resistance - yet. He can't just hide away, he's got to be visible to keep the civilians calm. Quite a lot on his shoulders.
Thanks for the look!

Nice!
Haven't been around much myself, only a couple of images in the last month, but then this is a hobby, so priorities and all that... The main thing is you're still here! And posting some great pieces, so be pleased with yourself!
LyleAryn
Yes, and thank you! Might get scarce in the next few days again. Stuff be brewing... I got one to upload from the other day, but not sure I'll able to even open Daz studio for a couple days.
dakotajaroo
beautiful stage lighting and superb rendering
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm happiest with how the lighting turned out.
Darkglass
Brilliant backdrop and character, dark moody and brooding, first class work on this image..!!
LyleAryn
Thank you Darkglass. Hope you are having a terrific week!
eekdog
love that wall prop, great image. 5 barks from the eekdog.
LyleAryn
Thanks. This wall is worth the price of the whole set, I tell you, and was a happy spot as I did a fly-through. This is the "Streets of Steampunk" set, from Stonemason.

LyleAryn
Thanks, Mike!
RodS
You did a really great job on him! He has that look of being somewhat of an enigma, but someone you would want on your side when things get dicey.. And someone it would be best not to cross..
LyleAryn
Yes! Thank you very much!
linwhite
This character has....character. Like the background, which seems appropriate for the story, and he's not "just another pretty face".
LyleAryn
Thank you! That's a great compliment!
