I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Thank you. It humbles me to see so many remarks already. Makes the effort even more worthwhile.

That's just awesome. I love Turok (the first and second games, after that, well...), and this really evokes that mood.
LyleAryn
I liked Rage Wars as well, and 3 isn't bad once you get into it. Evolution is pretty, and adds some nice flight levels. The Touchstone TiNO (Turok in Name Only) was... bad. Very bad.
The comics, I love. I have the big Dark Horse volume one, a few single issues I've found over the years, and several issues of the Valiant run. I love how he thinks his way through problems. It isn't a dynamic you get from the games. I'd love a reboot that stayed true to the comics. (Heck, I even have all four of the YA books that came out around Turok 2, lol.)
I wrote a fanfic back in the late 90s (I say it that way instead of saying WHEN I WAS NINE) that was about a female Turok. It's pretty bad, but it was around that time that I learned that I wasn't suited for writing fan-fiction, and I started writing my own work. My "version" of Turok is still something I might explore one of these days. At least, I always got render art!

Ein schöner Render

Outstanding work. I used to read Turok when I was younger.

It's a great series. I got the first volume of the original, from when Dark Horse had the license and released those beautiful omnibus editions. Wish I would have purchased the rest then. Now that Dynamite has it... (Darn you Disney!) I have a few assorted single issues of the Dell years as well, and I think the first 10 of the Valiant run. I've also got Dark Horse's version (Too bad that didn't get a second run) and the first two that Dynamite did.
I did pick up the more recent Chuck Wendig stuff. The first collected volume. I won't be getting any more. He's a pretty terrible writer, and was an awful choice for Turok. (His version is an African-American in Chicago. Pretty much destroys everything that makes Turok, Turok. I could go on, but maybe I should stop, lol.)
I'm glad you like this piece! It makes me happy, so I like it, too.

Your new graphic has become really very beautiful! I want to tell you by this way, that I struggle with pain every day and still try to write comments as best I can. Unfortunately, many here (except for a few who read my fine prints) forget the suffering of others because probably everyone has his own package of worries to lug around in the Pandemic - Stay alert and healthy! (This is a copy/paste comment) 😘

Hello! It's is good to see you! I haven't forgotten - pray for you every day. I hope you are doing fine, and I thank you for taking the time, my friend.

Fantastic work on a fantastic scene! Looks like she's got quite a handful to deal with here.. The atmospheric haze really enhances the tension here - well done!
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm so very happy with how it turned out.

This one is exquisite. Your atmosphere is so very nicely done. There was so much drama and action going on that is fun to view. I think this one might be one of the best you’ve done this year. All in all a real and total joy to view.
LyleAryn
Thank you. That means a lot, Dag.
