great, creative work. I love the colours used and the overall athmosphere. especially the background drawing has a wonderful 'classical feeling'.

I'd love to say something.. but all I can think is..."He is a master".Not helpful maybe.. but you cannot get any help from me anyway.. you are at a level where I will never arrive :)

There is such a strange paranormal air about this that goes slightly beyond the artist's conceit. The red pin staking the figure permanently in the two dimensional realm heightens the emerging form of the child, the figure urging it into the arms of the one it can not follow. This put me in mind of the oft played out scenario of old, where so many women died in childbirth and the drafted plans for for a full life faded as quickly as a dream does on awakening. The fainter outlines could almost be the memories of previous stillborn. I hope my Stories from the winding sheets metaphors don't make you wince! I do think this is a very loving image but with a tinge of the elegiac about it.

This is superb, and in spite of using the woody figures as characters, it transmits perfectly their "emotions". Bravo!

The concept of life, that cannot be in 3 worlds. Really great, the symbolism you use. I wholeheartedly agree with brendan's views.

This is actually a very sad image. The symbolism points to a fathers loss.

Well this picture brings a different meaning to me than what others have been saying about it. (I actually find this kind of ironic) I used to have this huge crush on a girl in high school (named Bev! lol) who I didn't try to go out with because she had a boyfriend. I look back and wonder what would have happened if I tried, would we have gone out? would we have been married? would we have had kids? To me, the marienette(sp?) is wishing on something he doesn't have. That's what this picture means to me. Thank you Bev, it's wonderful.

The texturing and colors are phenomenal and it's such a great concept to. One of the best images I've seen in the 2D gallery in a long time, good job :)

There's definitely a sad feeling of longing. Brendan really made me think, but I really identified with Corth. I know this feeling and I think the work captures it in a nutshell. It also reflects departed children for me. Very powerful image indeed.

Loaded image! (compliment) I am right back to relating to this from the adoption-triad perspective, a view that is rarely understood or shared even by those involved as it is oft shrouded with secrets and lies, confusion and pain, desire and love and outsiders' misplaced morality. It is excellent that so many people relate to this image in many different ways - in their own ways. Your technique is beautiful- that really seems stupid to even say because "beautiful" does not begin to describe the talent it takes to make images "speak," and your images obviously have so much to say to so many people!

As with all of your works, if there were a ranking higher than Excellent you would certainly deserve it. Brilliant and elegantly executed !!
