I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Fantastic work on all three of these, but I think I like this one the best.

Thank you. It seems they each have their fans, which is awesome.

You've seen the film, now read the comic book!
Tidy work, I really like this but the first still has an edge for me...
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm glad I decided to do this. I've been using my "down" time to try and learn some new things. The hard way, of course. Mostly just bullying my way through. Already producing some interesting results. I'll be working on something new, project-wise so all this should pay off nicely.
Keep learning every day, am I right? Thanks for your feedback. I hope I'm doing the outfit justice.
brain1969

this color version is even more beautiful than the wb comics version
LyleAryn
Thanks a lot!
Alias52
While I slightly prefer the first black and white one, the colour here really brings out some detailing on the textures.

I really like how the plugin made everything pop, once I got the setting dialed in. There's a couple things going on here, but overall, I think it works. Thank you for looking.
shadownet
Well done.
LyleAryn
Thanks, Shadownet!
Darkglass
By far the best of the trio....Excellent..has that graphic novel look and vibe, the treatment really makes the colours and details pop...brilliant image and work...!!
LyleAryn
Thank you. All the bullying through photo editor settings and plugins seems to be paying off. I'm glad you like it.

Hard to choose - but I like this one with its sharp colours and comic-book style.
LyleAryn
Thank you. The trick from the original raw image was to play with the color temp as I fiddled with other adjustments. Giving it a warmer tone seemed to do the trick.
Artienne
Awesome concept! Well done!
LyleAryn
Thank you very much.
