I'm with Barb and Wolf---a whale or a dancer. Actually it looks like a trough or big ditch that's gone radioactive. The intense tiny dots of light all around it suggest a very electrified field, or maybe with nuclear power. Amazed it's a fractal! I'd have guessed a photo-manipulation. Really creative work, Mike. Something mysterious hits the time-and-space continuum, and---boom: Space is punctured, causing waves of energy to radiate outwards...(or maybe it's just a bar of soap hitting a bath full of water...only I'd be afraid to take a bath in that stuff...)
