Description
An Achaean hoplite stands over the body of his slain enemy, a proud "Immortal" warrior of Persia. The Greek Empire is on the rise.
This image is a historical vignette, or as near to one as I can make without doing any outside research. ;) PoserStyle was a major resource in creating the picture from it came the costumes, weapons, textures, and "Fallen" pose construction set. Also used are Michael 2.0 and the DAZ Millennium Beard. I did the post-work (mainly adding the blood and dust) in Photoshop.

I like the posing and POV. Nice image.

Very good image. But if my memory doesn't fail me totally it was the Greeks who were kicked into the ass at the Termophyle Pass, weren't they?

Yeah, they did lose--but they were vastly outnumbered, and took plenty of Persians down with them. I guess the real turning point was the battle of Issus, when Alexander defeated Xerxes.

This is a fantastic piece of remarkable to-the-detail historical accuracy. Great job!
