I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Cool character....obviously expecting trouble..with the weaponry in hand...! great lighting and render..!

Thanks! I spent a lot of time on the lighting. Three spots, and the HDRI and a whole lot of positioning to get the shadows JUST right.

Thak you! I'm glad you like it. It's fun to do something different every now and then.
hashdoc
cool pov and great background!
LyleAryn
Thank you! That part was definitely inspired bit of last-minute additions right before I pulled the trigger on a render.

Well worth the work with the lighting. Fantastic Sci Fi scene

nice scifi scene and characters

gotta just go have fun every once in a while. Most of the time I'm inspired to do art, but sometimes you just got to make something that tells a story and can be appreciated for it's simplicity. Gorgeous model, grenade launcher, and the hint of romance with a cutie hanging out in the back. It's a simple recipe, but so's Mom's peanut-butter cookie recipe.

Superb Sci-Fi scene, brilliant awesome render.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm glad she is to your liking!

A very fine sci-fi scene. The lighting really works well as does the layering of view ports from near camera to the final far off BG haze. Very creative work. .
LyleAryn
Thanks! I love the layered effect. Plus, I needed an excuse to pull out the train.
Koala44
Very nice scene.
LyleAryn
You have my humble thanks

Sounds like a double win-win - and it looks like at least a double win-win, if not quadruple! Gorgeous work here, sir!
LyleAryn
Thanks! This is actually the second render. I did one where Rochelle had a much longer hairstyle and was dressed in a long dress and it felt just WRONG. She never wears dresses! I mean, it was like she was screaming at me. I know that one is still technically a good image, but I couldn't possibly share is because Rochelle hates it, you know?
But once I added boots, coat, babe, and some random sci-fi pieces, Rochelle felt right at home. Plus, it's just weird seeing her with any hair other than Greer hair now.

Good-looking character and great scene!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Not too bad for the lack of sleep I had. I do like how the lighting turned out.

Great scene, super light and i like the off-centre composition and how it alludes to something out of frame
LyleAryn
Thanks! Makes for a good Windows background too, so I end up liking it.
