I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Beautiful effect

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I'm getting a little more comfortable with post work, and Oso's magic effects are a joy to work with.

Thank you! You're one of the few that got to read it, but... well, I'll likely do a new story write-up and post it when I get it over on deviantart. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Thank you! Not all dryads are so friendly - and this one has an especial reason for being villainous.

Works for me!
Lovely job, and a great looking image and character. Just the right level of "creepy" married to an ideal amount of "surreal", like a waking nightmare!
LyleAryn
Yay! Thanks. That's what I wanted. She's got quite a story behind her. A dryad without a tree, brought back to life through a nightmare... mhmm.
RodS
Oooo - man.. She could definitely generate some nightmares... Brrr.....
Learning new tricks is always good.... I do need to dip into Blender myself...
LyleAryn
Yeah. I managed to use the bridge and export a character. I don't know how to do anything in Blender, but I got the character over there! Thanks for looking.

Very nicely constructed. This is a most enjoyable view. The way you did the illuminated eyes against that ghastly black smoky body is really intriguing. All in all, a very frightful character. Well done.
LyleAryn
Thank you! Got to give folks some nightmare fuel, right?
