I really liked my original post’s thumbnail of just the girl and thought that a crop of her and the top of the car would make a good variation on this image. I could have gone back into Studio, setup a camera and did another render. That would have taken about 2 hours since I render very large and go for the highest quality. I just updated my Adobe Photoshop and Camera Raw and I though of a different approach and wanted to try it out using a new feature in Abode Camera Raw 13.2. It is called Enhance and essentially uses AI to upscale your raw files by a factor of 2. The original image was rendered in Daz Studio and saved as a Tiff file. Enhance will work on Tiff files edited in ACR so I gave it a try. Here is the resulting enhanced, cropped image. The original Open Road image was rendered at 6750 X4500 pixels. This crop after enhancement is 5031 X 2005 pixels. So the cropped area is almost as long as the original full view render. This is an incredible upscale and it is non-destructive since it produces a new raw file that is bigger. I know a lot of 3d artists frown on post work but I teach post work and special effects to professional artists. We would not have the movies or video capabilities we have today without it. This is just one more tool. For me it will probably allow me to render smaller, which reduces production time which, means the ability to produce more work and the same or higher quality.
