Description
Created 20210321: working with 3DClassics' Triumph TR2 model.
While these 50s and 60s two seaters where designed for the open road, we found other uses for them that were equally fun. It didn’t matter what’s on the screen, just who was in the seat next to you. Just for a bit of nostalgia, the movie clip on the screen is from The Vikings (958) and I did see it at a drive-in. Not with a girl in the car since I was only 8 at the time.

Bob, original compo and very beautiful render! I do love the material of the TR body...and all the small details.

Thanks for the comment. I just got it in my head to do this when I was looking at the car in Studio. Clicked on the back camera and said that would be great for a couple making out. Thought about a lover's lane image but settled on the drive in. I like your original material but this is a slightly darker, non-metalic red from Tom2099's car paint freebie on Deviant. I use this shader pack a lot because it renders so well. The Austin Healy has your original material and looks very good next to the TR2. I plan on doing another piece soon to show off the car better.

Super work on this scene, great concept and execution. The legs poking out of the healey are are a hilarious excellent touch!

Thanks, much appreciated. I actually saw that at a drive in. The guy was in the passenger seat and the girl was in his lap.

These early Triumph Tr's were both narrow by today's standards and yet so cosy for two persons! If you wanted to be close and personal to someone, this would be the car to drive to the drive-in! On the opposite side of the spectrum, you have the new corvette C8 mid engine which totally splits the interior in two and you would be hard pressed to get anything romantic to happen in this car! Excellent work! :-)

Thanks for the comment. The only Corvette designs that I liked happened before 1960.

Reminds me of the good older days.

Thanks, much appreciated. There are certain things about that time that I miss very much but here in the good newer days we have a lot to like as well.

Tell me the camera objective specs and I'll guess the polarization filters you've used... Outstanding fabulous awesome render, magnificent Masterpiece of Finest Arts. I love it!
