Description
Well, couple things:
First and foremost I am always very grateful for every comment and feedback I receive, and since I am at still only that the start of my rendering hobby I always accept constructive criticism and advice/tips willingly.
Second, this is my very first render with Poser 12 and Superfly. I haven't been very consistent since I started doing 3D art, either because of lack of time, lack of the right hardware and - most of all - lack of inspiration. However, since I started using Poser 12 things have really kicked off. All of a sudden my mind was going a mile a minute and I found myself wrapped up in this new "project" that has literally taken me back in time to when I was a child playing with my Barbie dolls and stuffed animals. Poser 12 and Superfly are making this ride all the more enjoyable, even though I still get really frustrated at times and still have a lot of issues with lighting and shaders. At the same time I am having a ball retexturing stuff, which is something I never did before. And sharing the adventure with another fellow artist and her own story is making it even more fun.
Anyway, enough chit chat. My first render is of the main character: Erica Marino (played by Tempesta's Foxy). Erica is around 24-25 when my storytelling starts, she lives in London with her father - Enrico Marino - and they are of Italian heritage. Erica spent her childhood summers in Italy with her Grandfather in his vineyard in Umbria, so that is where I decided to base her first portrait. You will find out more about her as the story progresses.

Beautiful render! I am unable to use Poser since getting my new computer. For whatever reason, it drains the memory and shuts down the computer so I can't get a render. I do love Poser though! Wonderful work!

Thank you!!! With me it was actually the opposite. I started with Daz3 on a very old windows computer (I work with an iMac but I wanted to keep the two things distinct at the time). That computer was really struggling though and I was tired of having to fiddle all the time to make the Poser shaders look good in Daz, so at one point I tried Poser 2014. The computer was still too old to handle both programs without constant crashing and laggy camera movements. Then last year I got a new iMac for work and when I got Poser 12 I decided to install it on the new computer and things have really been running smoothly (as far as the memory goes). I know that I will never get a computer that can handle Iray so Daz/Genesis are out of the question, but I have to say that I am more than content with Poser, especially now with Superfly and the new LF/LH characters.
