Description
Tempesta3D, thank you. Thank you for making this wonderful character that I didn’t hesitate one second to put in my cart. Thank you for making such a wide variety of characters, of all ages and nationality, shapes and sizes. Thank you for supporting so many different platforms. M4/V4 even K4, Dawn and Dusk, Genesis, La Femme and L’Homme and so many others. Thank you for not abandoning Poser.
Dorotea is simply meravigliosa!!!
So this is just a little break from my little story (which Dorotea will be a part of) because I couldn’t resist doing a render of her right away. Sadly after working on her all afternoon something very unpleasant happened, and unfortunately it’s not the first time. Luckily I do several test renders as I move along, and was able to load this image. There are several things I adjusted after this render so there are a few things I’m not satisfied with and obviously it’s not high resolution but after what happened it was my only choice (although I really hope I can salvage the final version). Basically this is was happened : after I had fiddled with the scene and adjusted a few textures I went to do a final test render. There were issues with a glass I had used in place of the white cup and it took a while to finally get it to work (I turned it into ceramic though and you can see in it the bad render I am posting either here or as a separate foto). I did an area render of just the cup, it looked ok, so that is when I proceeded to do one last test render. And almost everything came out black. I wanted to cry, especially since this is now the second time this has happened. I was going to make a thread in the forum, but in the meantime I thought I would post it here in the gallery. Hopefully there is a way to solve this without having to start over (luckily I have one file with just Dorotea, the kitty and the couch), but I did so much after that. I am just really worried because this has happened to me twice and I don’t know what it is I do at some point that make the shaders go bad. Can anyone help?
I am using Poser 12 on a Mac and rendering in Superfly. By the way, both times this happened I am able to render in Firefly, but not in Superfly anymore.
UPDATE: Earlier today I reopened the file because i just couldn't give up on this. Out of curiosity I decided to eliminate a few things, I eliminated the tree, the room, the sky and to my delight the shaders started working again. So I put everything back and tried the cup first but that wasn't it. Then the tree, but that wasn't it either. In the end it was the sky (but the sky was there during the other test renders too so I have no idea why it went bad.) Also the other time it happened I had no sky at all. So now I am replacing the bad file with the good one and will still be posting about this in the forum, because I still need to understand what happened.

Beautiful! So sorry about the bad render 😔
RubyTuesday70
Thank you. You can't even begin to imagine how frustrated I am feeling right now.

I don't know poser, but Superfly would use the graphics card's memory and your scene my have exceeded the memory on your card. There is probably nothing wrong with your scene file but you may need to remove assets or resize some textures to get it to work. just a guess - good luck!
RubyTuesday70
The only problem with that is that it happens out of the blue for a scene I have already rendered countless times. I didn't add anything between the 2 images you see except for the weeping willow. I can try removing that but since this has happened with another scene where I hadn't added anything new I am wondering if maybe it's my constant fiddling with the shaders. I try something, undo it, try it again, and then all of a sudden this happens. Or maybe it's because I am mixing shaders that shouldn't be used together? I have absolutely no clue, I just started using Poser 12 and Superfly and I still have so much to learn.
Thank you for trying to help, I really appreciate it.

Really lovely image! This is a really different Dorotea character than the one I have invented for Tempesta3D's lovely textures.
RubyTuesday70
Thank you! I thought the same thing when I saw yours, and I have to say that your interpretation was very original, I would never have thought of that! I really enjoy seeing the many different ways a character can be portrayed by different people.

Beautiful and her tattoos are stunning!!
RubyTuesday70
Thank you!!! The tattoo is merit of the creator, I think it is one of the first things I fell in love with when I saw the character.

Oh my... you had me in tears of joy (and Pepe's big head is even bigger now! He is so full of himself !)
I must thank YOU hon, such an amazing relaxing and overall wonderful Artwork! Sorry for the render troubles, but you managed to make a masterpiece!. I am honored and shy all at once. <3
Wonderful also to see how everyone is creating different scenes with her, she is in very talented hands with all the Rendo's Artists!
Oh, and yes, I will never abandon Poser at all, my first 3d love. I love diversity as this is what I see around me and in my mind too, we are all different and this makes us all so beautiful and unique. Same with the programs and figures, all are wonderful and worthy, what matters is to create dreams for us all to hope and smile, we all need Art and Beauty, right?
<3 Thank you for this wonder <3
RubyTuesday70
Thank you so much, I am so glad you liked it!!! And it is a pleasure to contribute to Pepe's ego :2049:
I also enjoyed the different scenes, I really like seeing what different people do with different characters, and at the same time I like to experiment myself with the same character and see how many personalities I can get, the possibilities are endless (although most of the time I find the characters kind of "guide" you in a certain direction).
Hugs to you Pepe and the rest of the gang <3

Seems this particular, Dorotea, is a big hit with Rendo artists as she has been spotted in quite a few galleries. I love this setting here with the cat. Both look quite comfy here on the sofa. Dorotea is Patricia in my gallery
