Description
USA Comics presents Riverdale's finest band the Archies. The Riverdale students are all grown up and around 25 years old. Archie has been a musician with limited success. He makes enough to earn a living but not much more. Jughead is the bands drummer. He still lives with his parents and barely holds a job. Betty plays rhythm guitar and has recently opened her own garage fixing cars. Kevin Keller works for the local television station as a broadcast journalist. He also plays bass in the band but in the first issue he quits over the bands lack of success. Veronica is not in the band as she is focusing on her job as a Vice-President in her dad's company.
Archie Andrews was created in 1941 by Jon L Goldwater and Bob Montana. His debut was in Dec 1941in Pep Comics 22. The Archies song Sugar, Sugar went to #1 in 1969 in both the US and UK.
The Archies will follow the band in this 4 issue limited series brought to you by USA Comics.

Call me an old fart but I remember that one-hit wonder, "Sugar Sugar" I take it, that's not the same Archies? lol, Nevertheless, nice looking band!

it is the exact same band. Sugar Sugar by the Archies is suppose to be the comic book characters. At this point in the storyline their no where near a record deal let alone a hit song. Thanks for the comments.
