I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

I love the composition--she looks like she is giving a casual wave before bumping off to explore--and the floor color is so neutral it's unobtrusive. Leon is a cool buggy! :D

Yes he is! Quite handsome, too. Converted it to iray, adjusted the diffuse slightly, and he rendered up beautifully!
And Rachel? I think she's having fun.
Thanks for the feedback!

OK - I actually caught myself waving back at her..... I'm hopeless.... And your art is that delightful! This stuff is fun.. π

Awwww. Thanks! That's really nice.

Yup, my new favourite!
This is so like all those obviously staged shots from the 60's and 70's, with astronauts waving casually as though they are just popping off to the local shops instead of blasting themselves out of the atmosphere on the back of a giant bomb, it's uncanny...
Super work!

Thank you! I was hit by inspiration. Repeatedly. Lol. Did the entire pose by hand - you know how long that can take! I'm glad you like it.

Nicely done! If i recall, an astronaut said in a documentary that sweat is a big problem in a helmet.

Indeed. I feel like, here, it was probably a choice for the photo shoot. It's just a little TOO styled, you know? I love it.
daggerwilldo
A very cool buggy and a really enjoyable character. Excellent posing too.
LyleAryn
Thank you! Glad you like it. I ended up doing the pose by hand this time, rather than starting from something else.
