I'm not sophisticated enough to know what this growth is (moss? lichen? maybe a form of fungus?) Whatever it is, it's typical of what grows on wood. It's almost like a tree omelette. Genuine primal growth, sitting on an old dignified stump of wood. Your bokeh'd background lets the wood stand out. Another intimate capture from you...nature has some very strange creatures, doesn't it...
