A wonderful photo but a sad subject. I do hope this person is remembered in other ways. Cemetery photography is always so fascinating. I like cemeteries.

Stunning shot, Christian. The detail is stunning. We can see the outline of a name---but it's almost destroyed by decay and age. I agree with barb (bakapo) that this is sad...and yet it also has a sweetness to it, because nature has taken away the harshness of the grave, and made the stone more soft, more 'earth-like'. (In a way, it's made death more approachable, more acceptable...) Beautiful light and shadow on the stone. And the sides and top capture light beautifully. Also, your choice of a green-tinted sepia is perfect for the subject material. A very poetic shot.
