I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Great deep red lights on her. Love those wild eyes.

Thanks! I realized today that though the suit doesn't quite feel "cyber" enough, it does provide a nice blank slate to work from, as part of a larger concept.
brain1969

I like those lights!
LyleAryn
Thanks! First tine I've ever fiddled with the bloom filter, so I'm glad it turned out nice.
Koala44
Very nice set of lights, a nice neon side
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm almost tempted to do a non-bloom version, just to see the suit and bike better. But... I dig this.

Super work my friend! I like a bit of bloom now and then, especially when it fits the subject, just as it does here.
LyleAryn
It's good to learn how to use all tools available, too. This will make future lightsaber renders better.

That eye is creepy.
Well done on this! The lighting is inspiring.
LyleAryn
Thanks! I agree, it's just a bit of a Terminator vibe. I was worried it wouldn't show up at all, but once bloom was applied, well, you can see for yourself! Makes me think of the song "Electric Eye!"
And YAY! One of my favorite artists is following me! WOOOOO!
Radar_rad-dude

Outstanding work, superb colors !!
LyleAryn
Thank you! The top part is pretty reflective, so it caught them quite well.

A cool effect. I once had it turned on by mistake. It took me forever to figure out what the render looked strange but very cool also. But for a Cowboy scene, it couldn't stay.
LyleAryn
Lol. Neon cowboys.
Thanks!
