I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

An evening with the devil ? I'd prefer not to...as Bartelby would have said ! Great compo and angle, super image.
LyleAryn
I figure this guy isn't as bad as he looks. Remember, the Devil is supposed to be irresistibly attractive. I figure he's just your typical monster-man trying to avoid persecution.
Koala44
Very nice scene and good idea. Bravo
LyleAryn
Thanks, Koala! We all need our downtime, right?

Now, this is saucy!

Thanks! It was an inspired piece. I tried to do it previously, but my whole system crashed and I hadn't saved so I had to start from scratch. Waiting a couple months (It was a different sort of scene, with just the big guy and a vastly different camera angle, but still.)
I think this is better.
And really, who would resist a Malevolence TV show?
brain1969

movie night is always a great one. cool pov.
LyleAryn
Thank you. This particular room is a PAIN to work with. The walls don't come off, so it's a tight fit. Almost changed the depth, but then I hit upon an angle that I liked.

The scene looks great! I personally find that darker scenes always tend to render so much faster! Well done! :-)
LyleAryn
I think it depends on the light source, just a bit, and sometimes a dark scene will take FOREVER, and sometimes a scene with 8 lights will take 2 minutes. shrugs The mysteries of iray.

Well woudga lookit that now woodga? What a lovely pair! And loving the same program! How sweet. With all the time you saved, you should have created another one too! Life dishes out opportunities. We just need to know when and accept them.
LyleAryn
I just might. I hit the go button with the intent of getting right to to bed, then watched the timer hit hyperspeed, lol.

Stunning image, great light and superb characters 👍👏🙋♂️
LyleAryn
Thanks! It took three lights just to make it look like all the light as coming from the TV. In a VERY cramped space, lol.

Nicely done! Should use those demon dudes and dudettes a bit more myself.
LyleAryn
It's fun to throw them into scenes where they don't "belong" all casual like. He's just a dude, watching TV with his gal. Never mind the horns.

Getting the walls to come off a set when they are not designed to is possible with time and patience. I understand you use DAZ, which is the software I use. If you want to learn more, site-mail me and I can tutor you through the process.

Thanks. For the most part, I find going in and editing geometry to be more work than its worth for some pieces, especially if it's meant to be a quick one. Plus, I do like the challenge sometimes of getting the camera placed.
Thanks for the follow! And if I have questions, I'll definitely reach out.
