BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last 15 years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my specialty. I use Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press. I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists. . When I have time, I do acrylic paintings for fun.
Commissions: I do 3d texturing and backgrounds now rather than book covers, and I do appreciate a good UV template to work on. Thanks for checking out my bio!

It's been so fun! There is nothing better than a good model to work with; I always have such affection for the models I color (mostly :D) And thank you too for all the help!

I think you could do well to seek work designing for a clothing company! Maybe see if one of those online stores that let you sell your own designs can make you some cash and if it does talk to one of the big retailers...
Or just carry on enjoying making 3D stuff as a hobby and ignore me. :)

Oh, that is such a compliment! The two big reasons that doing 3d models is so superior to fabric design is you can fit designs to the individual clothing item and you aren't a slave to the repeats (I've done a few pattern designs for the real world...before personal computers! and it's a bit tedious) and reason number two is No Art Directors, which I have worked with for 30 years before I semi retired and a few were gems-- but it's always a struggle. (I did book covers for genre publishers and advertising work for diving companies). My actual job is domestic engineer and it's almost a full time job, so the flexibility of 3d work is..awesome. <3 And I do buy fabric from Spoonflower every now and then :D

He's so much fun! He's an old model now but still works great, I keep thinking I should go back and fill in all the Noggin's animals I don't have, because I use them a lot.

Yes! Of course! Perhaps her shoes weren't quite designed for the environment she is currently exposing them to? A fantastic character and image! Most delightful viewing pleasure!

Don't you go hiking in platforms? hehe! I went hiking across Providence RI in high heels, I can back to the hotel barefoot :D (the restaurant was a lot further away than advertised). So I can see how these things happen, though I suspect men usually find it's cowboy boots that mess them up.

The pixels are in complete agreement!!!
Superb image!
lwperkins
Nature is really rough on the pixels! They seem to constantly be eaten or falling! hehe!
