I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Congratulations on such an intimate pose. Must be hellish difficult! Nice one!
LyleAryn
Thank you! Yeah, it was a challenge, but I'm glad I saw it through.

Nice,

Thanks!

Lovely work and the idea to let the light counter balance what is happening in the shadow is really good. I think i just learned something viewing this work.

Thank you. While having a stream of light coming through the window is neat, the goal was a more comfortable, organic scene. And most people don't like the sun being in their eyes.

Beautiful romantic scene!
LyleAryn
Thanks! These two play really nicely together, too!

Your posing and time taken to do the lighting turned out well! Lighting is by far one of the most difficult things to get right when doing 3D work! The artist often has to decide just how much is enough and not too much...somewhere in between is usually the right amount! Excellent work! :-)

Thank you so much! I'm pretty light sensitive, so I know I have a tendency to go dark in my scenes. Sometimes I'll go and get it to where I think it's perfect, only to have someone say that it was too dark to see anything. I'm really proud of how it came together in this one, though.

Lovely work indeed! And the lighting is perfect.
Posing is spot on too, well done!

Thanks! It took a bit to adapt the pose, and there's always a few oddities to sort out from the pose artist. I got the shirt to play nice with this recliner by putting it on a timeline. The chair came up from beneath, and slightly from the side.
Best of all? There's no clipping. If it was brighter lit, you'd see that where it folded up at her waist looks very realistic.
I'm loving the work lwp put on these textures, too!

beautiful moment of tenderness

I recognize that shirt! hehe! Nice posing and a lovely setting for the ladies!
LyleAryn
Thanks! You did a great job on these textures! I'll be playing with them quite a bit.

Sometimes, most of the fun is in assembling and posing your scene! Try this. Try that. No not that. Okay, maybe this? Lets see how it looks. No, over there. Not there, over here! Wait, perhaps put in in the next scene! Hmmmmmmmm! And on it goes. Love the results here! Most excellent creation! Bravo!
LyleAryn
Thanks. And yes. I agree. It often takes on a life of its own.
LyleAryn
Indeed. The scene I'm working on now is kinda like that. It will have to have a follow-up just because I've rendered this character twice now, and in neither shot do you see her face!
TwiztidKidd
The anticipation is killing me! lol Great posing and camera work!
LyleAryn
Thanks. I'm glad you like it, lol.
