(My rotator cuff issue returned, then a relative passed...but Barbara's birthday is today, and I wanted to celebrate it today, so I'm posting this 'as is'...I don't know if it's as good as I wanted, but here it is in all its ornery 'whatever'...I wanted to do this on time!)
I discovered Barb (bakapo) via Lars, when Lars passed away (when I alerted his fans of his passing). I was so struck by Barb's kindness; and, as I learned that she was caretaking for her mom, I was moved at how loving she was when she was putting so much energy into the very difficult act of caretaking. Any of you who've done it know how consuming it is.
I just want to say that Barb is one of the kindest, most heartful, uplifting and caring people I've met here; I've been so grateful for her reception, no matter how crazy I and my work can get; she's just that way, as all of you know, and it's very special.
But I also adore her art: She creates these little 'magic-lands' with all kinds of bursts and surprises and wonderful stories, and filled with play and mystery and beauty...and her fractals are so concrete---I mean they're abstract, but they feel like they're totally accepted in other universes, as comfortable as a piece of furniture is in ours. I love them and how 'real' they feel.
I'm so grateful for her energies and light, and I wanna wish her everything that the universe has to offer---that it give her all its light because she just plain deserves it. Happy Birthday, Barb, and lots, lots more! And thank you everything...peace and joy and uplift and love to you always: Stay healthy and whole! mark

Thank you so much, Mark! These lovely and colorful images are wonderful. There are so many moods and emotions in each of them, just like life. I see sunshine, snow, rain, darkness and light. There is also hope and love in there, and that makes me feel good all around. Your friendship is dear to me, thank you for remembering me and thank you for the kind words. This is a truly wonderful and colorful celebration for Barb's birthday, (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Barb!) Mark! And your commentary is right on target as well. She is a wonderful artist, a kind and loving person, and it's a pleasure to know her even if it's remotely.
Dang - I do hope that nasty ol' rotator settles down and lets you have some pain-free relaxation, buddy. If anyone deserves it, it's you!
