I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

You've done a great job of choosing the right moments to show in order to tell your story. This really is nice work.

Was worth being patient. Lovely work!

Thank you, Stevie! It's been interesting to see how much the actual props can affect the design. Makes me think that maybe sometimes the inaccuracies in a movie might have something to do with the props not cooperating otherwise.

Ah! And here it is! Looks like he made the mistake of underestimating the capabilities of a clever and resourceful (and very lovely) lady! Ouch! It was fun seeing a bit of the behind the scenes for this page. It came out great! π
I may be looking into setting up my Twitch channel for some streaming. Maybe some BTS of putting some scenes together for TNA.
LyleAryn
Sounds like fun! I need to actually watch more Twitch. Well, besides the Bob Ross stream. I watch that quite a bit. (He's the father of ASMR imho)
Your latest page turned out great!

Looks awesome!

Me too, my friend. I'm going to try and get the next page done today. Then I'll be "caught up" with the release schedule I set for myself.

I don't know if this will help you or not, but don't forget that you are doing 2d illustration and it's perfectly OK to render the skirt as a free-floating png and then put it in pshop and bend and twist it as needed, and then slap it back down on your page. Saves hours of fussing :D

That would exceed my editing skills currently, though I am learning. I came up with a fairly practical solution, but maybe some work in GIMP will help me overcome a different hurdle I've been having. Hmm. You've given me something to think about. Thank you for that, and thank you for leaving a comment!
