Description
An old painting, reworked.
This day, years ago, I worked with dancers for the first time. It was so joyous, I've remembered it ever since.
Watercolor and inks, based on 2 photos.

a very stylish dancer and love how you presented this Mark. a graceful job on this, and great idea and execution on it.

Your painting reminds me of your story about the dancer, dancing in her high rise apartment with gay abandon and total focus, all the while completely unaware that some of her neighbors were watching her. This is beautiful, Mark, with its stark contrast of pink against black--conveying unleashed strength, power and exuberant joy.

A joyous vision. The colors are vibrant and strong and yet in complete harmony. Good job and good work. This is cool and very graceful as we watch her reach toward the heavens.

Good evening dear Marc, I wish you a peaceful and safe weekend.
Let's dance put on your purple dress and shoes and dance the blues, let's dance to the song they're playin' on the radio let's sway while color lights up your face.
Let's sway, sway through the crowd to an empty space If you say run, I'll run with you and if you say hide, we'll hide. because my friendship is for you!
Let's dance, let's dance, for fear your grace should fall, let's dance, for fear tonight is all let's sway, you could look perhaps into my soul, let's sway under the moonlight, this serious moonlight and if you say run, I'll always run with you!!!

She dances like a lioness, and a huge force rages in her, so much force that it can't all out, while that's what this splendor would like to show. That urge to be able to prove more and more to what vibrates from desire to let it be the dance of her life. In a complete surrender, I feel the urge, the expression created an overwhelming image by you, dear friend, with the power of expectation, something that goes above (the) hope. I also have to think of Brigitte ;-), and it's in her favourite colour (purple) lol.
p.s. I'm very grateful for your inspiring beautiful words in your sophisticated comments. They are as a kind of anthologies and make me smile too. I hope to write you a site mail soon, have patient with me, Mark; let me be honest, it's not great with me, but I do my best. My heart can cry, but something is always singing of an expectant joy.

Dance, ballerina, dance And do your pirouette in rhythm with your achin' heart Dance, ballerina, dance You mustn't once forget a dancer has to dance the part
Whirl, ballerina, whirl And just ignore the chair that's empty in the second row This is your moment, girl Although he's not out there applauding as you steal the show
Your lovely image of the dancer reminded me of the song above by old time band leader Vaughn Monroe when I first saw it, Mark. The image has an ephemeral feeling to it, reaching or pointing to the heavens. Glad you're well enough to repost your stuff again.
