Description
It was well into the afternoon when Lilja Darkstar's tour of the large conglomerate of manufactories and other concerns reached the Servo-Clank Manufactory.
"Ehm, ehm, this be all we'd be having time ter see today, yer ladyship," Fat Bob stated outside the factory buildings making up the Manufactory. "We'd best 'ead on ter teh Estate fer yeh ter meet teh staff an' get settled."
"But we've not entered the manufactory itself," Lilja complained. "I believe I'd like to view how your kind is constructed, if you please."
"Ehm, ehm. Well. Ehm! It's kind o' personal like. Private as you might call it." Fat Bob was clearly uncomfortable.
"I see. Still, as the owner of this sprawling enterprise I must insist on achieving familiarity with all of it's many divisions." Lilja scanned the many buildings. "I get the distinct impression you're hiding something from me, Bob."
"Oh no! No! You mustn't 'magine so, yer ladyship. It's just that..." Fat Bob's voice parts ground to a stop.
"Shall we start with this building. It seems central." Lilja would not be deterred by her mechanical foreman's reluctance.
Unseen by Lilja and her servant clanks a small clank observed the exchange from an upper story window. "Appears as we 'as vistors, Miss!" It said.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.500 with the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine. Buildings and other surroundings are by 1971s as is the little clank at the window. Applejack contributed a building and the cobblestone ground. The Steam Carriage is by Adh3d. Simon3d brings us Fat Bob. The Guardian clank is by Jonnte. Lilja is based on La Femme with textures and morphs by Tempesta3d. She is wearing Dark Aurora clothing by Ravenhair and her distinctive hairstyle is by Afrodite-Ohki. I used one of Flink's sky domes. The Steam-powered dirigible in the sky is from Forbidden Whispers at Daz ( https://www.daz3d.com/steam-powered-dirigible ).

Thank you! I've been having a lot of fun taking up the challenge of trying to build a cohesive Steampunk setting.

Excellent scene and image. Loads of little details invite a leisurely visit.

I am so pleased that you enjoy the details. I take an awfully long time adding and tweaking. It's especially meaningful to me in that I can see that you take a lot of time with detail in your art.

Poor Bob! He's embarrassed for the boss lady to see his kind in parts! Although, based on what miss Pannikin said, maybe there's more to it than that!! Another fun steampunk scene :-)

Thank you for commenting! I do enjoy working with Bob. I'm trying to develop the clanks as persons that while not human are not merely clockwork mechanisms either. I am so pleased you are enjoying these.😊
