Computer geek extarodinaire, I love to tinker with gadgets and tech items to get them to do what I want. I'm either logically artistic or artisically logical. I'm also rude, crude, semi-barbaric, socially unacceptable, and totally psychotic. On the bright side - I am potentially harmless. I'm currently trying to write some short stories about the fae as well as a novel on those same fae as well as two other novels. The programs I have for photo and image editing are: Photoimpact from Ulead, Adobe Photoshop 7 and Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X. Recently I've added DAZ Studios as well as Terragen, Blender and Google Sketch to my list of programs crowding my hard-drive. All this and much more on an old Pentium III 450 with 396 Megs of memory and operating Windows XP. It does get interesting at time.As of December 26, 2008, I have added Vue 7 Pioneer to my list of reason of why I'm going insane.
As of January 2010 I upgraded to a new HP 2 dual core processor with 6 gigs onboard mem with 4 gig powerboost and 2.07 terabytes of Hard drivesMy email is faemike55@gmail.com

RodS Online Now!
Thanks, Mike! I hope Hayley has better luck than I've had today. Cool work, buddy.
Folks, unfortunately it might be a while before I'm able to continue the story... My main Poser machine is hosed for some reason. All I get is a black screen with a mouse pointer on both monitors. Might be the video card, I don't know. Odd that this happened the same time as my entire network going down. Oddly, the WiFi is working normally so I can connect with the laptops. but my entire LAN is down. I cannot connect to the other computers or my network drive The only ray of light in all this is all important files are backed up on multiple hard drives. But I'm anticipating a long and stressful series of troubleshooting sessions for the foreseeable future. As Mike said, I've been dealing with severe depression the last couple weeks, and this has not helped my mood..
Hope to have the Girls back in action at some point. Wish me luck...

You are welcome, Rod. In a way, I understand your situation in a different way. My DAZ computer is down because I couldn't remember the new password. So I've got to go in at the C prompt and manually reset my password through sysedit...

I'm sure Hayley and Zlata will sort Rod in no time at all! Nice work Mike!

Not a good time for hardware problems with the shortage of Microchips the prices have skyrocketed. I priced a new Vid Card last year (which I knew would be my next needed upgrade) at $160 for an 8gig AMD RadeonRX580 today it's $600-$700 bucks it's freaking crazy.

Steve, the one thing I've learned in my 69 years on this planet is that you have to take it one day at a time. If it will help, think of this: when you get up in the morning and Satan says, "Crap! Steve's awake!" and you look down and smile and say, "Yep!".

Condolences to Rod! THANKS for keeping up posted!

Oh' my goodness, enough is enough, that's all we need, we'll all have to call a fundraiser into being to get Rod out of this predicament, who in the US is willing to organize something like that via Facebook? Please keep me informed!

Queen Zlata sure looks powered up and ready to go and help out.
What a wonderful message and dedication to your friend Rod.
Also sending prayers and hugs to you, Rod and others going through depression.
The struggle is real and can be stressful.
Talking from experience, I can guarantee with hard work, keeping in touch with your friends and keeping busy will help.
I also am taking a antidepressant which helps tremendously.

Mike, I never got the ebot for this--I would've noticed, since you haven't posted much lately, and a piece from you is an event. I'm sorry to Rod for all that hit him at once---network, machines, moving, cleaning, neighbors and depression. (Steve has depression too, I see. Boy this last year has really taken its toll! I know in your case it's been added-to by so much physical travail, pain, and recovery. You're all being challenged to the hilt. Your image should do its work for all of you.)
I really like the "search" feeling here, like she's checking every nook and cranny for the answer. And her wings are magic, and her spear is like a laser version of those things hunters use to find truffles. Really cool mysterious hall too, with a great lantern in the upper right. Love the image, Mike, I wish you a much better time ahead. And Rod, may your problems be solved quickly rather than over time, and I wish you much better spirits in the process. I know what "computer hell" is---for days, it feels like there'll never be an end. I hope that doesn't happen to you!
Take care, Mike, and sorry I didn't see this sooner.

A great image.
Thanks for the news! I hope by now it is up and running again. If not, I shall say a little prayer that the issue is resolved soonest.
Loving your tech fae, by the way!
