This graceful slender character looks as if she is about to lift herself up in the air if the on looker proves too curious ! What a beautiful composition that takes us far from everyday routine ! Well done !

I'm only back for one this morning (I'll comment on the others next time, I've seen them all (and loved them)), so I thought I'd do your most recent. I love how this winged spirit has attracted butterflies from all over, and also how she looks almost like peter pan (I still remember Mary Martin, and couldn't believe, as a kid, that she was a woman playing a boy). Love her outfit, and the big almost-propeller-like wings. And her leaf antennae, and her pure ballet pose. Plus all that lush ivy around her: She's dancing her way around an old ivy covered building, and it feels like an intimate out-of-the-way spot. This has real repose, and I love her posture, and I love the shadows too. Magical and charming, and just right for summer.
(btw, your profile page says your bday is June 22, 2010. That means you're 11 !!! Congratulations---you're a helluva a poised, experienced, mature 11-year-old! Kudos to your parents! ((How'd you do it? I was an IDIOT at 11 years old!)) Not too shabby, Barb!)

(sighs)... If only hoomans could fly... I'd love it... If... I wasn't scared of heights! Great character and composition... Thanks for sharing!

I immediately thought of the Cottingley Fairies photographs seeing her. She seems to be so directly connected to that little act of mischief. Mhaybe it was this fairy that put the idea in the girls' (Elsie and Frances) heads. After all, the incident breathed new life into the mythology of her kind for another century.

This is Awesome!

I like the softness to her beauty and the slight glow around her head. The antennae really compliment the wings.
