Description

Prime languidly leaned against the holo-display of the world that they orbited and observed her colleagues collecting data. Although they were assigned the most primitive ship in the fleet, the technology still provided artificial gravity and foldspace drive. If it fell into the hands of the primitives of this world it would not be such a problem as posed by their civilization's most advanced technology. "We should consider a landing site and strategy," she murmured. Molly's art notes: A little retro sci fi for a change! Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.500 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine and then tweaked a bit in Photoshop (mainly to add a subtle vignette). The background is Coflek-Gnorg's space sphere and the ship is Cybertenko's discplane with a few material tweaks (I didn't like the glass in the dome). The characters are all DAZ generation 3 dollies: V3 improved by Blackhearted's GND 2 morphs and textures, SP improved by Blackhearted's Irina 2 morphs and textures and Aiko 3 improved with some stuff from DAZ. All of the character textures were optimized for Superfly with Snarlygribbly's EZSkin 3 (which doesn't work in Poser 12 so I had to boot Poser11 to use EZSkin; I so hope someone will update that script!). The uniforms come from an unknown source and are called male comic overlays. There's a lot in the Poser library from more than 15 years ago that my husband got from I don't know where.

Nicely detailed. Very high orbit.

There is a new Superfly skin texture translator for Poser 12. Saw it in the marketplace. It is a Poser Python issue. Hardly any of the old ones work in Poser 12.. Worth keeping Poser 11 on hand to run all the old Python scripts. I am going to install Poser 12 on a new laptop just to be safe.

Thank you, yes, they're way out there; maybe at a La Grange point between the Earth and it's moon.

I know about the Python issue and it's why I have kept Poser 11 functioning. It coexists very nicely with Poser 12 on my desktop. I miss a lot of scripts from Dimension3D, Phil C and others who have either gotten too old to enjoy supporting software or, as in Ralf's case, passed away. I've seen the scripts by Ken1171_Designs and they're pretty good. Unfortunately the skin conversion translator isn't as good as EZSkin 3 but it's OK.
