As much fun as I have been having doing my simple animations, my heart still belongs to the concept and visual of an image as a singular moment captured in time. That being said, this is one of my favorite images, technically and visually, that was crafted by me. To put it simply, everything seemed to come together as I had intended it to be. This may sound funny, but as an artist, my images and final work usually fall short of what I am after. In this case I got what I wanted! Carla is my model and this ancient interior ruin is the setting. The coldness of the stone with bright daylight coming through all the openings offers a wonderful yin and yang to the ambience. The detail of the stone is exactly the texture I was looking for. Carla's pose is casual and yet very welcoming to the viewer.
