Description

"I'm a little out of practice. I haven't spent time with the living." Her voice was nearly inaudible, as subtle as breeze gently disturbing leaves in a tree. "My name is Grace." "You're doing very well, my dear," Professor Elizabeth Van Humbeek exclaimed with delight. "You've never had the energy to manifest to anyone but me until now! How it must tire you!" "No. No, I'm feeling well. Perhaps a bit stronger for meeting others." The specter attempted a smile. "She's more beautiful even than I imagined," Dorotea Van Humbeek murmured to her sister. "I'm honored, Grace!" she said to the specter. "Yeah. She's gorgeous!" Brooke chirped. Brooke Potts and Gregor Bubkoff, graduate students and assistant researchers of the Professor completed the small group present to meet Grace. "Iz honor indeed to be meetink with you," Gregor said. "This is the team I'm asking you to join, Grace. There is much about the boundary between your existence and ours yet to be learned. And on your side there are others..." Here, Professor Van Humbeek's features clouded. "...that are not as willing to take a positive attitude as you toward the living." Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.500 using Superfly Cycles 2. Photoshop was used to composite Grace into the picture in a way that suggests her transparency as well as bits of her being rendered as translucent in the initial rendering. Grace, Elizabeth and Dorotea Van Humbeek are all based upon La Femme. Brooke is based on Dawn. Gregor is based on L'Homme. The setting is the Mystery Parlour available at Renderosity. I like these characters and am considering stories involving paranormal investigation.

Thank you, Nobby! I had to do a lot of photoshop postwork on this one compositing a couple of images to get what I wanted. Of course, there are ways using materials to accomplish the same thing but I'm better with Photoshop than I am with materials. Now, if I was going to animate this scene I think I'd do it with materials...
