Description
The battered team gathered around the pilot's console. "Look at that," Beta said. "The Collapsar drive is so far out of alignment that it will be many revolutions of this world before it comes back on line. We're going nowhere."
Alpha touched controls and watched indicators change. "We've plenty of power in the storage batteries so long as we don't try to lift and don't maintain a separate gravitic environment from the external ambient environment. Fortunately, this world has about the same or slightly less mass than homeworld and gravity is about the same. As for atmosphere, we appear to be submerged in water. The orbital survey showed that the atmosphere is breathable. Of course, we have to get above the water surface to confirm that."
Prime watched her team work and considered. If they were to approach the governments of this world how to proceed? "We had best get a clearer idea of our proximity to population clusters, traffic ways, and the like. See if we can start by determining how it is we're submerged."
Molly's art notes: A little retro sci fi for a change! Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.500 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine and then tweaked a bit in Photoshop (mainly to add a subtle vignette). The ship is Cybertenko's discplane with a few material tweaks (I didn't like the glass in the dome). The characters are all DAZ generation 3 dollies: V3 improved by Blackhearted's GND 2 morphs and textures, SP improved by Blackhearted's Irina 2 morphs and textures and Aiko 3 improved with some stuff from DAZ. All of the character textures were optimized for Superfly with Snarlygribbly's EZSkin 3 (which doesn't work in Poser 12 so I had to boot Poser 11 to use EZSkin; I so hope someone will update that script!). The uniforms come from an unknown source and are called male comic overlays. There's a lot in the Poser library from more than 15 years ago that my husband got from I don't know where.

Girl Trek! Love it!

Heh. It's pretty retro and sexist, I suppose, but who doesn't love aliens when they look like this? I remember in my childhood that spacegirls usually wore tight shiny stuff, often short skirts and sometimes leotard thingies. I'm just a product of my youth, I guess.😉 As always, thanks for taking a moment to comment, Annie.
