Matilda decided that Hailey needed some more formal attire and a formal look for social events she would be hosting at the mansion. With prices up north quite a bit lower than in London it would be sensible to have Hailey get some nice things while she was still there. She called a friend living in Harrogate to take charge of Hailey's formal 'make-over', all expenses billed to the trust of course. The friend reported back that they all had great fun with the project. the make up specialist gave up - what can you do for a girl who is just about perfect when she washes her face in the morning. But she gave Hailey some tips on shadow and lipstick colors - very subtle and almost invisible. Luckily Hailey likes her new hair style. It is still Hailey but a touch more formal. A bit still, Hailey says, but she appreciates not having to keep brushing the hair away from her eyes. The glamour photo was taken at Snooty Frox where Hailey was fitted with this evening dress. Since Hailey is rather tall, the shorter dress suits her better than a long skirt. The photographer who snapped the photo was raving about her, "Where have they been hiding this girl, she could be on the cover of every fashion mag in the country." When Hailey reported the day to Matilda she said, "Everyone was so nice. I don't know what to make of some of the things they were saying about me. I think they were just trying to make me feel comfortable with all the glamour. It's all new to me, you know." Note: Harrogate is a fashionable resort town hear York in northern England. One of the dress shops there is named 'Snooty Frox'. I found it on the internet. Looks nothing like my image. (Hailey does not wear her new dress in Part Two. Sorry about that.
