Description

A fantasy illustation I created digitally of a warrior seperated from his war party and lost in the forest during a cold winter's day. Inspired by the sword & sorcery fantasy novels I used to read in my youth and early years of adult hood. Software used : DAZ Studio, Photoshop CC 2021, ArtRage 6

Looks more Turkic than Nordic. I had to wait until I was a young adult to approach such racial and ethnic stereotypes. I met Oars, Sails and Steam and SPADs, Fokkers and Nieuports for my eyes beyond Ivanhoe and the Roundtable. Axes were for heathens and Irish. The Crusades never really portrayed the Mohammedans.
