Description
LJ had a lot going for him. Just no future.
When he failed to greet her outside the station that morning, Detective Onishi had a gut feeling. After hours of scouring the city, with no one willing to tell her anything helpful, she finally found LJ in a back alley. It was just starting to rain. Which was a good thing, since she knew she shouldn't cry. One look was enough for her to know that there was nothing she could do now but call it in. That, and see to it that he had a friend at his funeral.

This happens far, far too much anymore. Onishi has a tough job, and it's just getting tougher. It's gotta be heartbreaking. Riveting work on this scene, Rob!
Seldom does a night pass here in the Kansas City metro without at least one fatal shooting.
