Description

Classic rock has always been the heartbeat to all of my art and my chihuahua, Aayla whom is always by my side, is my heart. Date Finalized: August 09, 2021 Software Tools: Poser 12, Photoshop 2021, Lightroom Classic This was not an easy scene to put together if only because I had to scan a LOT of my album covers! Most of these came from CDs, some came from actual records I own, and a few came from the internets. Deciding on what records to feature was hard. I’m sure I left some important ones out and I’m going to think of them all as soon as I publish this. I probably should have found a way to add in more Beatles records to be really accurate to my music collection. LOL I’ve got three or four in there now plus the poster. Three Rolling Stones, two John Lennon, and one of everybody else I could find/think of. This is also my first, and certainly not last, artwork with my new 3D chihuahua! I’m trying to make it look as much like my Aayla as I can. I still have more work to do but I couldn’t wait any longer to put her in a scene and this one was perfect for her. I rendered this in Poser 12 Superfly with one area light and then a global IDL light plus a tiny bit of emission light from the candles and lava lamp, I guess. The setting for this scene was made for an older version of Poser so I went over every material and created new Superfly materials for everything. I didn’t do much in Photoshop other than correct some mistakes here and there. Most of the postwork was done in Lightroom, once again.

Ah, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band! Got that one stashed in my vinyl collection (I really need to find a decent turntable and convert all my vinyl to digital. I think I have every Beatles album they put out.

You really did a fantastic job on this wonderful scene, Lizzie! All the albums scattered around really give this a fun and lifelike feel. Love her little buddy, too!

My turntable has been busted for years but I managed to digitized everything before then, thankfully. :) I had a choice between buying every Beatles album on CD or vinyl and I chose CD if only because I could more easily make duplicates and put them in my car. LOL I do have some on vinyl though, including a full Sgt. Pepper album with ALL the inserts still inside!

Thank you again! I've still got a ways to go to make her little buddy look more like my little buddy but I'm getting there!

Thank you so much! This was one of my more work intensive scenes with all those album covers and posters to create. Plus I had to go over every texture on the setting and remake it for Superfly. I also look forward to using that cute dog bed many more times as I have a load of ideas for it. :D

ohhh, awesome scene, I love this so much!!! I really admire what you did with the album covers, I plan on doing the same when I use this set , although sadly most of my orginal albums remained back in the states when I moved to Italy so I will have to turn to the web for most of them. (ironically my father brought back our record player, speakers and some other thing but my my records, lol). I don't know what came over me actually, despite being very nostalgic I did leave some things behind that now I miss. I think I was in shock and that influenced my choices. Anyway, I already have a pretty good idea of which ones to use, all from the same era you chose (definitely Stones and Zep). It appears we have very similar taste in music too, lol!! Actually, my bro did bring me back a few albums during a visit so I might actually be able to use some originals.

I could have guessed we might have similar music taste just from your username! (which is awesome by the way!) Thanks so much for your compliments! I'm quite happy with how it turned out, maybe even a little surprised. LOL I look forward to seeing your version!

Thanks! I've still got a ways to go before the pooch looks just like my real life doggie but it's close! :)
