I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Thank you. Maybe not my most intense and painstaking iray conversion, but considering it was on a whim, I think it turned out alright.

Nice work - keep going. Need something fun to read and the graphics ain't half bad either :) Thinking your right about Marah's wardrobe not cutting it with some at court and the bright scar must have a story behind it as it's not your typical Heidelberg dueling momento....
Royal Courtyard is a classic...

Thanks! I need to spend more time with the character so I have a better handle on her. This experience just trying to do a single page with her has been very interesting.

Such a delightful view..... And lovely lighting on this lovely if deadly lady. Super job!
Ah, yes.... That sounds familiar - starting a comic as a great way to learn new things... It does work, and quite well, I might add. You have to stop and think about how the poses, expressions, light, and everything else will fit into and effect the scene. It's a constant learning experience - and that keeps it fresh and fun.

Indeed! I'm looking forward to issue two! Thanks.
