Description

Tawana wanted so much to prove to the girls of Gamma Sigma Delta fraternity she was a cut above the others. She wanted to be poplar and well know and not some no body. But how to do it she thought.."something big and bold." "Something that no one else have tried and could top!" But for all her thinking she couldn't think anything that was daring, or bold. Yeah some of the girls had done some extreme things to get in the fraternity. One girl had stolen the deans wallet, another had streaked naked across all of campus. But she felt those things were to tame for her and she definitely needed something to top all others that when people tried to join they would have to top her, if ever. When dinner time had come she sat by herself in the cafeteria, playing with her food . As she down at her mash potatoes and idea began to form. Usually part of the fraternity initiations was to take something from the old house of Blackmoors street. Something to prove that they were there. But it was totally forbidden to go there on a certain day. In fact there was a ghost story told of not to go there on that day. And as luck would have it, today was the day. If she could go today and take something to prove she was there surely her getting into Gamma Sigma Delta was assured. Hurriedly she left the cafeteria and proceed to her dorm room to pick up a few items. When she got to her room she noticed her room mate was not there. Probably in the library getting notes as well using the school wi-fi there. Tawana thought to herself " she is such a book worm at least live a little" After a few minutes Tawana left with a few items that she would need to go to the old house. As dusk approached she knew she need to hurry before it got too late. "In and out " she thought, as she walked the distances to the house. The walk was not bad, not long at all and the day was still warm for a September. As she approached the old house she gasped. She looked at the decrepit house that time had not been kind to. It wooden steps had fallen into disrepair leaving a gap in the boards. Ply wood covered the broken windows on its first floor. Its painted sides were peeled and aged. Taking a deep breath Tawana went in. The inside was no bettIer than the outside. It was full of webs and dust which had accumulated throughout the years. The stillness of the place creeped her out . " lets do this girl" she said to assure herself to go through with it. All she needed to do was take a picture of the item while there and take the item with her. "in and out" she whispered as she stepped in. ... A few days later the police were there questioning her roommate about her disappearances. Many people were on edge as one of their own had vanished and gone missing. Many people had theories and ideas that what had happened to Tawana Keels. But none could been proven. Campus even held an over night candle vigil for Tawana ...as people handed out fliers and pics of her. In the end Tawana did get what she wanted ..she was very much popular on campus.
