Description
Let me start by saying I hope bakapo is okay with this idea. I hope Barb isn't upset
with me using one of her 'reject' photos, which, by the way, I do not believe is a
reject in any sense of the word. It is a most excellent and moody photo that really
captures the spirit of this old landmark. I took the liberty of having photoshop
work just a little magic on it so that I could see better what the building does look
like. Barb, if you want me to delete this image, I will certainly. But I hope that it
brings just a little smile to you and anahata.c as well since that was whom your
image was dedicated too. Follows is bakapo's remarks under the photo:
"Mark wanted to see a 'reject' photo from my weekend. Here it is, with an explanation
as to what you are struggling to see.
This is Motif Number 1 "the most often-painted building in America" it is located on
Bradley Wharf in Rockport MA.
This is a reject photo because, not only is it way too dark, it's the back of the building.
Yes, yes, the famous look of this popular building... is on the other side... *sigh*
Thanks for looking!"
I wish to add further that the landscape depicted in this image no way reflects the area
around Rockport! I don't think it is even close, but I had this old setting and thought
it might make a nice setting for the sign I had in mind.
And as always,
Thank you for taking a peek! Your support is greatly appreciated!

Very nice tribute, and I agree, it's a good photo of a side you wouldn't normally see. Well done.

Great scene - but the shadow of the lettering makes it harder to read.

Wonderful image and tribute... great work !!

LOL! Thank you! This is fun and you've made me feel better about taking a photo of the wrong side of a famous landmark. The scenery here looks like New England but not too much like the rocky seaside of Rockport, but the render works just fine. I love it, I really do. Thank you so much! I hope you can visit the site someday.

impressed---you lightened barb's photo really well---and got the original red too. I love what you did to the New England coast! Yeah, w/ Barb, the coastline is craggy as all get-out, but without the medieval castle---I love that castle! Right ouf the middle ages...And the mountains, and more of those gathering people (which you use as bits and pieces of humanity in your work), all dressed in a real array of colors...And that great car with a couple who look like they drove in from the 50s...such invention in these images: Delightful. (My "reject" was a blurry wave; barb, on the other hand, posted a beautfiul mysterious house, and you posted a really creative gathering of totally different elements...) Another real delight.
