Description

This is one of my entries for the triptych challenge. It's a Apophysis fractal in which I've changed a lot, by making different layers in PSP. Thank you very much for your look, dear friends.

It is, of course, difficult to skip over many of your images, because they're all superb. But since my comments are long (and since I'm very slow at writing them), I have to pick some images, and skip others. So let me say, upfront, that I love all your work, as you know...so I choose what I think are 'representative' samples of your art. I could just as easily have chosen other images instead, believe me...the choice is never easy...

I love how you interpreted "triptych," here: It's a tryptich, but it's also a unified organic image. I love the deep reds and dark oranges. And it has a rough surface, as if you created this on rough paper. You have three "pillars", with spheres all around them. WIth fireworks and bursts and star-bursts all over. It's like these pillars have sprouted into the middle of a fireworks show. At the same time, it's definitely a "graphic"---it has a strong 2-dimensional feeling. And the tension between the 3 dimension fireworks and the 2 dimensional 'graphic' work is wonderful. I love the patterns too. (The two outer pillars have leaping fish in them! Or leaping leaves...) One of the circles is like a CD that is having hallucinations. Beautiful work, Jacomina...really creative and strong graphic art.
