after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

Good to read that your mom is doing well. Rehab will do her good. A spine is always difficult to live with, as I do know myself. Both pictures are likeable so I choose both ;)

Love both versions, Steve! I run into the same problem a lot on which to post.
That's wonderful news about your mom's heart rate, Steve! Glad that's better, and I hope she can get relief from the back pain. Hopefully that rehab center can get her healed and pain free again.

Both look good. Maybe I prefer the background on the right. It allows a better view of the character I think. Sorry about your mom and hope she heals well. My mom has "healed" compression fracture in one of her vertebrae too. It's simply from age. She does fine most of the time but if she's on her feet doing chores for long it really acts up. Luckily she is self motivated to be active for brief periods throughout the day. She'll do a few dishes, sweep some leaves off the porch, put away some things around the house. Just enough to keep her active and when it's too much she sits down and watches some TV and sorts through junk mail. No shortage of that.

That's great news! So happy for both of you! Mothers are one and only!
It's funny how we have a growing hard drive of content, yet somehow we never utilize half of it. I have the snake, which is incredibly hard to pose...lol
