Description
Ghostly Grace led the little band to the porch of the small house. She turned and smiled, "I would gladly open the door for you but it's quite exhausting for me to move material objects. I trust you'll let yourself in."
Brooke crouched to examine the Jack-O-Lantern on the step. "Despite your problems with manipulating material this is a pretty good job! I loves me a punkin carved up like this!"
"It was a gift I found earlier today. I'm not sure who my benefactor is but I appreciate it." Grace smiled again. "I expect it's one of you. No one else knows I'm--" She paused. "I was going to say 'alive' but that's not right. Perhaps I mean no one else knows I exist here."
"Gregor helped me," Dorotea said. "We're glad you find the pumpkin amusing."
"I'd like to know what you have to tell us, Grace," Elizabeth said.
The Ghost passed through the closed door and then reappeared. "As I said, please let yourselves in!"
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.703 and tweaked for compositing ghostly Grace into the picture, color saturation and a subtle vignette in Photoshop. The setting is based on the Haunted House by Blue Tree Studio. The characters are based on morphs and textures by Tempesta3d imposed upon the La Femme, L'Homme and Dawn meshes. Flink's instant forest, trees, skys and rolling hills enhanced the background.
The characters and personalities of Elizabeth and Dorotea Van Humbeek, Gregor Bubnoff, Brooke Potts and Grace Geist are my original characters. I am so indebted to the content creators who made the meshes, morphs and textures that allowed me to bring these people to life. Briefly, Professor Elizabeth Van Humbeek is a paranormal investigator who teaches at the University of River Heights. Her elder sister, Dorotea, is a world traveler and adventurer. Brooke and Gregor are graduate students and assistants to the Professor. Grace Geist is a restless spirit that has become something of a familiar to the professor.

Fun as expected. Rendering really does give us the opportunity to breathe life into creative thoughts and share images that would previously have remained locked in our heads unless freed by an outside artist.
I'm with Brook on this one - pumpkin is kinda cute...:)

Thanks for leaving me a comment, my dear! I mostly note the content I use in the art notes but sometimes refer a bit to which software I've used and what I was using it for; Photoshop (or Gimp or some other) are definitely our friends. Photographers use that software all the time, why shouldn't 3D CGI artists?

Thank you, my dear! I give a lot of credit to the content from Flink (trees and sky) and confess I tweaked it a bit for saturation in Photoshop. Some artists here proudly eschew Photoshop by professional photographers use it so I don't see it's use as a lack of artistic integrity if it helps get the result that pleases the eye.
